Entering adulthood is daunting. Whether you’re just now getting out on your own and trying to claim  
your faith, or you’re a parent trying to juggle family, faith, and your career – Driftwood has a spot for  you.
God’s got a plan for you, and we are prepared to help you live into it.

Ages 18–40

What Is Driftwood?

A group of adults from all different walks of life, coming together in the midst of life’s major transitions,  helping each other cross the river to God’s promised land! Join us for deep bible study, sincere  questioning while tackling the doubts of faith, heart-filled and Christ-centered worship, and an  environment aimed at developing hearts on fire to serve the Lord.

How to Get Involved

Bible Education

Teaching each other the truths of scripture and it’s historical and cultural context,  ensuring that we are using proper exegesis (that is – understanding the message originally  intended, rather than misinterpreting through today’s standards)

Theology of Play

Jurgen Moltmann wrote the book “Theology of Play” and Pastor Jacob takes that very  seriously. Through playing with others and with our God, we can learn more freely  without fear. We exercise this “playful” mentality in our discussion of biblical topics just  as much as when we play board games with each other.

Faith Building

Questions and doubts are thrown at us from all angles, because the enemy knows our  weaknesses. Instead of letting those questions and doubts fester – we tackle it with  biblical truth, honest introspection, and the support of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Age of Claiming Your Faith

We don’t care if you go to school or not, are single or married, have kids or don’t want them! The age  range of 18-40 might seem vast. But the truth is, even in large group of people who are all the exact same  age, no one is in the same spot in life. No one is in the same spot in their faith. We all come together from  different walks of life, different stages of adulthood, but all with the same mission: getting across this  river of life together, and without drifting downstream. Come join our diverse group of adults that are  seeking Christ in all aspects and facets of their lives. Learn from each other, and grow together.

Our group and curriculum just might not speak to you as much. We encourage you to  engage in one of our many other classes available at Fairlawn? Still concerned? Reach  out to Pastor Jacob to discuss.

Absolutely not! There are many other adult classes at Fairlawn. This group is an option  for you – not a requirement. The important thing is that you go where you are spiritually  fed. Please let Pastor Jacob know if you want to discuss more!
