The Need 

What to Expect

We love children and having the opportunity to help them learn and grow. But we also know that in order to have the opportunity to work with them, you as a parent need to be confident that they are in good hands. 

Rest assured, your child’s safety is always top-of-mind for our staff. Two key pieces that they are in a safe and fun environment is as follows: a child check-in process and a vetted volunteer staff including background checks. 

We will collect any emergency contact information, allergy information, or things we'd need to know about your child to ensure a safe and engaging day. We'll help walk you through the check-in process via the Church Center app or manually with our Kid's Greeter.

First Time Info

On your first visit, our helpful staff will help guide you through the check-in process. Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes before the service begins to accommodate the first-time check-in.

Secure and Trusted

Safety and Screening

Your child’s safety is our top priority. All volunteers undergo background checks and are screened and interviewed before being approved to serve in any of our age groups 18 and under. We use a secure check-in and pick-up process so only authorized adults can pick up your child. No adult that is not scheduled as a volunteer for that week will be allowed entrance to the FNC Kids' Wing.

No child is allowed out of the Kids' wing until the guardian has returned for pickj-up.

Simple and Safe

Check-In

Bring your child to the FNC Kid's Wing and complete the sign-in process. We will help label all belongings brought with the child. We will ask for a phone number where we can reach you during the service. The adult who checks the child in will need to show the pick-up tag at pick-up time.

Creation Room

There will be three labels associated with your drop off and pick up. The first is for your child, the second is for you with matching identifiers, and the third is for any bag dropped off with them. 

Noah & Jonah Rooms

Your child will be checked in at the glass doors and will be escorted back to their classroom.

We know your kids need structure and routine tends to win the day. Here's how we help:

Creation Room

Our nursery flow includes snack time, story time, music time, activity or craft time, and review time all in a nurturing environment.

Noah & Jonah Room

In the Kids' Wing, your children will switch between classrooms to keep them active and also reset their focus. One group will be learning their Bible story and memory verse while the other group spends time in worship through music.

Volunteer Care and Values

Our team's ability to consistently serve is vital to the spiritual nourishment of every child entrusted to our care. We rely on our volunteers' committed, consistent monthly schedule to provide the stability our kids thrive on. Just as important, we recognize that one cannot pour from an empty cup. Therefore, we emphasize that serving in children's ministry is balanced with time spent in the main worship service, ensuring our volunteers are also spiritually fed and refreshed through the Word and worship, enabling them to pour into their own families with renewed strength and grace.

4th Sunday

Family Sunday

On the 4th Sunday of every month, we transition to a Family Worship model where all children join their parents in the main service. The Kids' Wing will be closed during the service hour. This is a crucial opportunity for intergenerational discipleship, allowing your kids to actively participate in the life of the church—from taking communion and tithes/offerings, participating in a child-focused sermonette, leading worship on stage, and directly seeing their guardians lead by example. To ensure focused engagement, we provide 'busy bags' for entertainment, and for guardians who cannot attend, we will assign an 'FNC Friend' to sit with and guide your child through the service that morning. 

Our philosophy is that the sound of a crying/noisy child is the sound of a growing church - they are welcome! However, if you feel the need to step out, the Cradle Room is available to you.
