At Fairlawn Nazarene, Christian education is a priority because we believe growing in faith means growing in understanding. Through Bible-centered teaching, engaging classes, and intentional discipleship, we seek to equip all ages to know God’s Word, live it out daily, and share it with others.
Summer 2026
God's Plan of Redemption, Looking at the Covenants
In the Garden of Eden, God showed His plan for mankind - "The people of God, living in God's place, and dwelling in God's Presence." But Adam and Eve rejected God's rule. They chose to be "their own people" instead of being "God's people".
Genesis 2:17 tells us that Adam and Eve deserved death, so God had every
right to eliminate mankind and start over with a new race. But God spared their lives, and the lives of their yet-to-be born children (us!), by re-directing the fury of the curse toward another - the battered flesh of His own Son. God's Plan to redeem His people is written all over the Bible in both the New Testament, AND the Old Testament.
This quarter, we will start with Noah and see how God worked thru the covenants He established, to show us His Plan to redeem man. Because God's Plan for mankind has not changed - "The people of God, living in God's place, and dwelling in God's Presence."
The Proof You Need to Believe in Jesus Christ
The first video in this series from Focus on the Family is called “Defining Terms in an Investigation.” Join J. Warner Wallace, a former homicide cold case detective, as he outlines the investigative process and explains how the same rigorous process of detective work can be employed to verify the claims of Scripture. I believe you’ll be encouraged as he makes a bold case for the truthfulness and reliability of our Christian faith.
The Books of
1, 2, and 3 John
Comfortable Christianity often means a weak Christianity. In this study on John’s three letters, Dr. Tony Evans challenges Christians who have grown comfortable and complacent in their faith. Fellowship with God is the essence of our faith, and Tony walks through 1, 2 & 3 John to paint a picture of love, obedience, and truth. A welcoming class designed for adults with special considerations to learn about God’s love in a supportive and joyful environment. Each week includes Bible lessons and activities that help every participant grow in faith and friendship.
