Cornerstone

At Fairlawn Church of the Nazarene, we are blessed to have our Cornerstone group—a vibrant community of senior adults (55+) who gather for fellowship, spiritual growth, and service. Together, we continue to study God’s Word, encourage one another, and joyfully serve both our church and the Topeka community.

A Stone In Zion

"So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: 
'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;  the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.'"
-Isaiah 28:16

After Jesus Christ, our Chief Cornerstone, the senior adults (55+) are the steady foundation of our church. This stage of life brings new freedom to serve God—while we may retire from our careers, we never retire from serving Him!

When We Meet

Our Cornerstone group is active every Thursday with meaningful opportunities for fellowship, study, and ministry: 

1st Monday of Each Month

We gather at a local restaurant for food and fellowship. 

2nd and 4th Thursdays

We meet at the church for Bible study and spiritual growth. 

3rd Thursday

We lead a worship service at a nearby assisted living facility, ministering to those who can’t attend church in person. 

We’re blessed with a wonderful group—but it would be even better with YOU in it! Come be a part of what God is doing through Cornerstone.
